June 4-6
Polish Festival, the Polish community kicks off the festival season with local, regional and national entertainment by polka bands and more; delicacies; Polish crafts including hand-made dolls and afghans, Friday 5-9pm and Saturday & Sunday noon-9pm, Patterson Park at Linwood and Eastern avenues. $

June 10-13
St. Nicholas Greek Folk Festival, a showcase of the Greek community featuring dancing, costumes, traditional dishes, and tours of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Thursday 3-11pm, Friday & Saturday 11 am–11pm and Sunday noon-10pm.  St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church at 520 South Ponca Street, 410-633-5020, www.greekfolkfestival.org.  FREE

June 18-20
African American Heritage Festival, a celebration of African-American ancestry, with nationally known entertainment and educational exhibits, Friday 5-10pm, Saturday noon-10pm and Sunday noon-9pm, M&T Bank Stadium (Lots B & C), 410-235-2227 ext. 211, www.aahf.net. Free before 4pm

Caribbean Carnival Festival, with a traditional island costumed parade; soca, reggae, and steel drum bands; live international entertainment, elaborate costumes, and authentic Caribbean cuisine, Druid Hill Park, Friday 5-9pm and Saturday & Sunday noon-9pm $

August 7 & 8
International Festival, a celebration of Baltimore's cultural diversity with music, dancing and a variety of ethnic foods, noon-9pm daily, Poly/Western High School near Falls Road and West Coldspring Lane, 410-396-3141. FREE
